 3. Take the chance to learn what should be learnt

 “The students should gain certain knowledge or skill when it is time for them to learn these things.” In light of the children’s developmental characteristics in the aspects of physiology and psychology, the school has reinforced the study and training of the native language and the foreign language in the elementary school phase, while encouraging the students to study mathematics well and develop their logical thinking ability. Based on the mastery of the basic knowledge and skills in the subjects of Chinese, Mathematics and English, the students have been developed in the ability to listen, speak, read, write, and write characters. In order for them to overcome the language barrier in the elementary school phase, the best period to study English, the school has organized some of the students to transfer to study in an American school in the USA in Grade 6; the school has also organized some students to go to study in Australia, so that these students can go abroad, have the chance to see the world, and personally experience different cultures and the genuine teaching environment totally in English. In order to develop the students' art and sport ability, the school has provided the required courses such as piano, computer, swimming, dance, painting, pottery, calligraphy, and paper-work; and more than 20 elective courses, rich and colorful, such as Olympic mathematics, wind music, Er Hu, seal cutting, fashion design, student reporter, Master/Mistress of Ceremony, scientific and technological making, ball games, field/track sport, golf, weiqi, etc. There are also all sorts of special feature activities including the composition exhibition for the primary school students, the nursery rhyme contest, the theme class meeting contest, the dance contest, the calligraphy contest, the pottery contest, the hand-work contest, the painting contest, etc. The students have actually improved themselves in the aspect of ability, and they have achieved great success in all sorts of contests at city and district levels.

 4. The “Warm Family” management
 
 The students live in the units with orderly decoration and warm environment; there is a life teacher called as “Huijia mother” to take care of the students’ life management and living skill training. After studying for a day, the students go back to their dormitories; they are made to feel as if they went back home. They integrate into this large family; they live together, from morning to night; under the care and guidance of their "Huijia mothers", they learn to do their daily chores; they learn how to get along with other people and how to communicate with other people; they learn to deal with their problems calmly; they learn how to overcome their difficulties; they begin to understand that it is important to respect themselves and respect others, and it is important for people to care for each other. They are made to live in a complete human group, and they are healthily developed both physically and psychologically. This life in large family has exposed the students to the society, developed their ability to live independently, think independently and solve their problems independently; built up their quality and behaviors to be civilized and polite, and helped them to grow sturdily.
